Magazine Adverts.

Here are some examples of magazine adverts
that we can get inspiration and ideas from for our own magazine advert for the chosen
band My Future Lies.

This
is a good example of a magazine advert because it
has a relevant
picture of the artist and includes good reviews of her music. It shows information about her new
album and release date too.

This next example is
a variety of
bands advertising their next tours/concert dates.
However, we only want to advertise the band, not a tour date.

The advert on the right-side of this collection is a very good example. Not only does it include reviews of the artist's music; but it also has an eye-catching, unusual image to make the band stand out.

Another set of examples here; the one on the left is most eye-catching. With an unusual image which links into the name 'Massive Attack', it works pretty well as an advertisement for the artist/band.

I think this is the best example for a magazine advertisement. It includes the name of the band, their album title, a release date and reviews from relevant sources.
After much research into magazine adverts and what makes them an efficient advertisement for a band, we have come to the conclusion that this is what we need to include on our own advertisement:
- an eye-catching image,
- band name and album title,
- possibly a release date for the album,
- positive reviews from relevant sources.
